No. Helper Junction is a technology platform that enables employers and helpers to find each other and communicate lawfully. It does not arrange employment as an agency and does not hold or require a MOM employment agency licence for this model.

With Helper Junction, you search, contact, interview and choose helpers yourself, and handle the MOM employment process directly using our guides. A traditional agency placement typically costs higher fees but the agency manages the hiring process and paperwork for you.

Helper Junction gives you full control at a much lower cost — and licensed agencies will soon join the same marketplace for those who prefer a managed service.

Every pass includes the same core tools (including 2 active job posts). Passes differ by how long your access lasts. We apply reasonable-use limits on unlocking contacts so the platform stays fair for everyone and can't be abused for data harvesting.

Beyond the subscription, you pay the normal government costs of employing a helper directly: the MOM work permit application, monthly levy, insurance and security bond.

Yes. Singapore's Ministry of Manpower (MOM) allows employers to hire a migrant domestic worker directly without going through an employment agency. As the employer, you are responsible for the work permit application, medical examination, insurance, security bond and other MOM requirements.

No. Employer names and contact details are never shown publicly to helpers or visitors. Helpers see your job details so they can decide whether to apply — not who you are.

Yes. Many helpers on the platform are transfer helpers already in Singapore. Profiles show current availability and contract status so you can filter for helpers who can start sooner.

Hiring directly:

1. Find and interview the helper on Helper Junction; agree on salary, duties and start date.

2. If you're a first-time employer, complete MOM's Employer Orientation Programme (EOP).

3. Buy the required medical and personal accident insurance and arrange the security bond.

4. Apply for the new Work Permit online with MOM while the helper is still on her current permit.

5. Once In-Principle Approval (IPA) is issued, coordinate with the current employer to cancel the existing permit.

6. Get the new Work Permit issued and complete card registration.

Transfers are usually the fastest direct-hire route. Always check MOM's official website for the latest requirements.

Hiring directly:

1. Find and interview remotely (video call recommended).

2. Complete EOP if you're a first-time employer.

3. Apply for the Work Permit and receive In-Principle Approval (IPA).

4. Helper completes home-country exit requirements — Philippines and Indonesia may require accredited agencies or government clearance even for direct hires.

5. Arrange flight, insurance and security bond.

6. After arrival: medical exam, Settling-In Programme (first-time helpers), then Work Permit issuance.

For new hires from overseas, an agency is often the more practical route. Always check MOM and the source country's official requirements.

Similar to a new overseas hire:

1. Find and interview remotely; agree on salary, duties and start date.

2. Complete EOP if you're a first-time employer.

3. Apply for the Work Permit and receive IPA.

4. Helper completes home-country exit requirements.

5. Arrange flight, insurance and security bond.

6. After arrival: medical exam, then Work Permit issuance — she typically does not need to repeat the Settling-In Programme.

This is usually faster than a first-time overseas hire, with proven Singapore experience. Always check MOM's official website for current requirements.

Creating a profile and applying to employers is free for helpers. When licensed agencies join, helpers can discuss the fees with agencies and choose to go through them or look for jobs directly.

Your profile — including your photo, name, skills and experience — is visible to employers so they can find and choose you. Contact details (phone number, WhatsApp, email) are never shown publicly; employers unlock them only after subscribing. You control the information shown on your profile.
